Frequently Asked Questions about snowmobiling
Yellowstone National Park.
Do we need advanced
reservations? Yes!
Advanced reservations are highly recommended, and a 50% deposit
is required at time of booking. We gladly accept MasterCard,
Visa, Discover and American Express.
Cancellations/Changes
- Forty eight (48) hours notice of cancellation or change
is required to avoid a 100% cancellation penalty.
Weather Policy
- Will we go snowmobiling
if it snows? Yes, due to the inherent nature of winter
weather and snowmobiling, all tours will proceed on cold and
snowy days. However hazardous weather conditions or safety
factors may require Best Adventures to cancel your
trip. In such cases all deposits are fully refundable.
Minimum/Maximum Ages - Ages
7
and up only! We
will not take children younger than 7 years old. On the more
strenuous Grand Canyon of the
Yellowstone tour the recommended minimum age is 10 years old. On
snowmobile tours a degree of physical activity is required; and
tours are conducted at elevations of 6,500 - 9,500 feet above
sea level. For existing medical conditions please consult your
physician prior to participating in any snowmobile tour.
Pick up and return times -
Please review tour
descriptions for pick-up and return times. Please confirm pick
up time when making reservations.
Where to Meet
- We provide lodging
transportation from anywhere in the Jackson Hole area. Guests
staying at private homes or condominiums will need to provide a
physical address and local phone number. Guests staying
at a local hotel or motel should plan to meet our guide in the
lobby or reception area at the specified pick up time. For
guests who prefer to drive to our office we are located at
945 W Broadway
Suite #106.
What to Wear -
We provide a one-piece snow
suit, snow boots, a DOT approved helmet with face shield and
mittens. You wear loose comfortable layers and warm socks.
Please bring the following items to ensure a safe and enjoyable
tour: something to protect your lower face and neck such as a
balaclava, neck gator or scarf; sunglasses or goggles for bright
sunny days, and a hat to wear during the times you remove your
helmet. On sub-zero days disposable hand and foot warmers are
recommended and face protection is required.
Valuables -
We suggest all valuables
including wallets and car keys be left in a safe place and not
taken on tours. Camera equipment should be in a padded case or
strapped around your neck during the tour. Best Adventures will not be responsible for lost or damaged
property.
