What
to bring and how to pack it! We will provide you with the outerwear
you will need for this trip. These items include a one-piece
snowmobile suit, winter boots, winter mittens, and helmet with
shield (required). You are welcome to wear any personal gear you may
have (ski suits, gloves, warm boots). Personal helmets must be DOT
approved. Under the suits we recommend you dress warm but
comfortably. Remember loose is good, wear thermal underwear, wool or
fleece socks. Synthetic materials such as polypropylene or wool
blends work best. The helmets have clear shields and we are hoping
for sunny days, so the snow glare can be pretty bright. Bring a good
pair of UV blocking sunglasses, sunscreen and lip balm. You will
also need a scarf or neck gator and/or a face mask (balaclava).
The
luggage you bring on the trip is carried on your snowmobile and
should resemble a gym bag with dimensions about the same as airline
carry on luggage (12x24). Snow kicks up on the snowmobiles so you
want your bag to be water resistant if possible. Pack extra socks, a
shirt or two, extra pants and your regular shoes. You really don’t
need a lot of stuff, but remember toiletries, camera and film, a
ball cap or knit cap, and the disposable hand and foot warmers come
in real handy. And as always if you have any questions please give
us a call.
